  • What is AddAFace?

    AddAFace is the simple and intuitive app, available now for iPhone and Android phones, that allows you to meet people from all over the world.

    The service lets you add interesting faces to Favorites, remove them forever, chat with anyone in the app or browse for new faces.

  • Is it available for my device?

    AddAFace is currently available for iPhone (it requires iOS 7 or later) and for Android phones (it requires Android 4.1 or later). For the best experience, we recommend you use the latest version of iOS/Android available for your phone.

    Other devices are not supported at this time. We currently do not support Apple tablets, Apple computers or Apple Wi-Fi only devices.

    You can install AddAFace on any Android tablet, Android TV and other Android devices, but we cannot guarantee it will work properly.

  • Do I need an account for AddAFace?

    Yes, you need to create an account in order to use the AddAFace app.

  • Why can't I log in to my account?

    Please read carefully the error message you receive when trying to log in.

    Don't forget that you need to confirm your email address after registration. In order to do that you should access your email, open the message received from AddAFace Team (please check your Spam folder, also), click the link shown in the body of the message and your account is activated.

     

  • Is my email address public?

    Your email address will never be made public by AddAFace app.

    Your email address is used only by us to send you messages in order to activate your account and when your pictures get approved or rejected.

     

  • The app keeps crashing!

    Make sure you have the latest version of AddAFace and try force-quitting the app.

    If the issue persists, just delete the app from your phone, download it again and re-install it. If you re-install the app your data will not get lost.

  • 2.USERS
  • Who are the users I see on Home screen?

    Based on you gender and interest, we load in the home screen a list of users which match your info.

    Each user must confirm their account and have an approved picture before they appear in this list. In the same manner, you will appear in other users home screen, only after you confirm your account and have your picture approved.

  • What actions are available for the users on the home screen?

    You can tap on their picture to zoom it, swipe left to remove it from the list and never see them again, swipe right to add them to your Favorites list or tap "send message" to chat with them.

  • How do I remove a user from Favorites?

    - On an iPhone:

    In the Favorites screen, swipe left on the user that you wish to remove from the list, a blue button with “X” on it will appear. Tap on that button and confirm your wish to remove the user from Favorites.

    - On Android:

    In the Favorites screen, press on a user row until a menu replaces the top action bar, a trash icon button will appear. Tap on that button and confirm your wish to remove the user from Favorites.

  • I accidentally removed someone, can I get them back?

    Sorry, at this moment you cannot get them back.

  • 3.MESSAGES
  • Is there a limited number of messages that I can send to other users?

    Yes, you have only 5 messages available to send to any other user,  even if the conversation was not started by you.

    More exactly, you have 5 messages to consume and the other user has 5 messages to consume with you. Each message has a limit of 160 characters.

     

  • What is the icon next to the user nickname on inbox screen?

    That icon represents the remaining number of messages that you can send to that user.

  • Can I send more then 5 messages to a user?

    No, get creative ;)

    You only have 5 messages, but you can ask for their phone number, email address or IM. There are no restrictions on a message’s content.

  • 4.PROFILE
  • How can I edit my profile?

    - On an iPhone:

    You can go to More (the fourth tab) -> My profile. Change any info in there (except the nickname and email address) and then tap on “Save info”.

    - On Android:

    In the Home screen, Favorites screen or Inbox tap in the top title, a slide menu will appear from left, tap on “My profile”. Change there any info (except the nickname and email address) and then tap on “Save info”.

  • How do I change my age?

    - On an iPhone:

    You can go to More (the fourth tab) -> My profile -> Tap on your birthday field and then tap on “Save info”.

    - On Android:

    In the Home screen, Favorites screen or Inbox, tap in the top title, a slide menu will appear from left, tap on “My profile”. Tap on your birthday field and then tap on “Save info”.

  • How do I change my password?

    - On an iPhone:

    You can go to More (the fourth tab) -> My profile -> Change password. Enter your current password, the new password and confirm it, then tap on “Change password”.

     

    - On Android:

    In the Home screen, Favorites screen or Inbox tap in the top title, a slide menu will appear from left, tap on “My profile”, tap on “Change password”. Enter your current password, the new password and confirm it, then tap on “Change password”.

  • I lost my password, can I recover it?

    Yes you can.

    Go to Log in -> Forgot password -> Enter your email address and tap on “Reset password”. You will receive an email, click on the reset password link and change your password with a new one.

  • How many pictures can I add?

    You can add 5 picture to your account, but only one can be active.

    Before a picture can become active, the AddAFace Team must approve it. If you reached the 5 pictures limit and wish to add another one, you can remove one or more inactive or rejected pictures.

    However, you cannot remove the active picture or the pending ones.

  • How do I add a new picture?

    There are several ways of adding a new picture:

    - On an iPhone:

    a) Go to “More” (the fourth tab) -> “My profile” -> “Take a picture” -> “Use photo” -> Re-size the picture or/and “Save” it (the button on the top right corner).

    b) Go to “More” (the fourth tab) -> “My profile -> “Choose from gallery” -> “Select photo” -> Re-size the picture or/and “Save” it (the button on the top right corner).

    c) Go to “More”(the fourth tab) -> “My profile” -> “View Face history” -> “Add photo” (the button on the top right corner) -> “Take new picture” -> Re-size the picture or/and “Save” it (the button on the top right corner).

    d) Go to “More” (the fourth tab) -> “My profile” -> “View Face history” -> Add photo (the button on the top right corner) -> “Browse new picture” -> Re-size the picture or/and “Save” it (the button on the top right corner).

     

    - On Android:

    a) In the Home screen, Favorites screen or Inbox tap the top title, a slide menu will appear from left, tap “My profile”, tap “Take a picture” -> Take the picture and use it -> Re-size the picture and tap “Save” -> Save it (the button on the top right corner).

    b) In the Home screen, Favorites screen or Inbox tap the top title, a slide menu will appear from left, tap “My profile”, tap “Choose from gallery” -> Select a picture -> Re-size the picture and tap “Save” -> Save it (the button on the top right corner).

    c) In the Home screen, Favorites screen or Inbox tap the top title, a slide menu will appear from left, tap “My profile”, tap “View face history” -> Add new picture (the button on the top right corner) -> tap “Take a picture” -> Take the picture and use it -> Re-size the picture and tap “Save” -> Save it (the button on the top right corner).

    d) In the Home screen, Favorites screen or Inbox tap the top title, a slide menu will appear from left, tap “My profile”, tap “View face history” -> Add new picture (the button on the top right corner) -> tap “Browse a picture” -> Select a picture -> Re-size the picture and tap “Save” -> Save it (the button on the top right corner).

  • My picture was rejected, why?

    This happens because the picture you added does not respect our terms and conditions. Please read carefully the terms and conditions.

  • How do I change my application settings and which settings can I change?

    - On an iPhone:

    You can go to More (the fourth tab) -> Settings. There you can change:

    a) the push notifications settings (to receive or not);

    b) allow us to track your actions as an anonymous user and let us improve Add A Face according to your needs;

    c) change the behavior of return button from the software keyboard, send or new line on tap

     

    - On Android:

    In the Home screen, Favorites screen or inbox tap the top title, a slide menu will appear from left, tap “Settings”. There you can change:

    a) the push notifications settings (receive or not);

    b) allow us to track you actions as an anonymous user and let us improve Add A Face according to your needs;

    c) change the behavior of return button from the software keyboard, send on tap or new line on tap
